SURVIVOR: Elizabeth
Elizabeth was 31 years old and had just given birth to her second child when diagnosed with Stage 4 pancreatic cancer. She attempted many treatments, including two developed by Stand Up To Cancer-funded pancreatic cancer researchers. One of these treatments has been especially pivotal for Elizabeth, who is now cancer-free, thriving, and enjoying life with her family.
SURVIVOR: Dan
After losing his brother to cancer and watching his mother face her own diagnosis, Dan learned he had a genetic condition that can increase the risks of many types of cancer. Eight years later, a routine screening led to his own cancer diagnosis. He joined a Stand Up To Cancer clinical trial, and after undergoing treatment, his tumor had disappeared.

SURVIVOR: Kelly
Kelly was diagnosed with stage 3 rectal cancer after giving birth to her first child. Standard treatments like chemo, radiation, and surgery could have had life-long effects, and she likely would not have been able to get pregnant again. Instead, Kelly enrolled in a SU2C-funded clinical trial, and after just nine treatments, her tumor had disappeared. Kelly is now a mother of three and cancer-free.
Survivor: Marshella
During fertility testing, Marshella’s doctor recommended a routine checkup, leading to a stage 3 breast cancer diagnosis. Though early, it was aggressive, requiring radiation, surgery, and chemotherapy. In remission since 2019, Marshella is a now proud advocate for early detection.
